The focus of this class is on how to throw your opponent to the ground while preventing him from throwing you. In Judo you do not grab the legs as with wrestling. Instead you make use of upper body grips to off balance your opponent then throw or trip them onto their back. Foot work and timing are essential as well as the development of speed and power. This class is taught by Daniel Barboza, a second generation black belt and life long practitioner and competitor.
